(03.10.1972), Nicholas Gene Carter "Nick" (28.01.1980), Howard
Dwaine Dorough "Howie D." (22.08.1973), Brian Thomas Littrell
"B-Rock" (20.03.1975) und Alexander James McLean "A.J." (09.01.1978).
Manager Johnny Wright gründete die Backstreet Boys 1993.
Wright versuchte, eine Boygroup nach dem Vorbild der New Kids
On The Block zusammenzustellen. Sie bekamen eine gründliche
Tanz- und Gesangsausbildung. Jive Records nahm sie mit sieben
Alben unter Vertrag. Anfangs traten sie als Vorgruppe von Caught In The Act auf. Gelten als erfolgreichste Boygroup der Welt.
Großartiges Comebackalbum im Frühjahr 2005 mit dem programmatischen Titel "Never Gone". Die Boys klingen erwachsener als früher, auch Gitarren sind zu hören, Zielgruppe nicht mehr nur Teenager. Deutschlandtour erfolgt im Herbst des gleichen Jahres.
